the internal clitoris

for fun and education

  1. That was a riot.

I don't really have an issue with using alternate names for sex organs. Take the woman in the video; she went back and forth between "anus" and "asshole", "urinary opening" and "pee-hole". And she is clearly a well-versed individual. Are these terms silly? For sure. Do they get men and women at least talking about their sex organs in a less-threatening environment? Definitely. I used to sit in on interviews with children who were victims of sexual abuse, and of course they threw around lots of "ding-a-ling" and "pee-pee". But hey, whatever works.

  2. I'm sorry, I wasn't clear, I love the video. What I was speaking to was the lack of education that women have surrounding their bodies. Using "down there" to collectivly refer to ones vulva, vagina, os, cervix, uterus, etc.

When teaching female children most parents skip everything from the belly button to the knees.

This is not a debate forum -- there are hundreds of other sites for that. This is a safe space for abortion care providers and one that respects the full spectrum of reproductive choices; comments that are not in that spirit will either wind up in the spam filter or languish in the moderation queue.
